Mr MMM (or Jason Verney) has been busy!
Yes, in addition to recent film-related events in both early 2024 (a Thai Premiere of Jason’s mid-length film, “REPARATION” in Bangkok) and late 2024 (being a judge / jury member at a film festival in Seoul) but also much creative endeavours in between (!), Mr Verney – aka writer/editor of this MMM website – has been hard at work, editing, shooting and obtaining certain permissions for a brand new feature-length film…
That movie is a 70-minute documentary (a few details here on IMDB) and one about a subject close to the director’s heart… the Sewol ferry tragedy in South Korea.
The project was finalised and even submitted to a film festival or two in January 2025.
Although more information will be provided shortly, a ‘behind the scenes’ video will appear soon on Jason Verney’s YouTube channel. However, to pre-empt that little film, we can reveal that the following video has just been uploaded to the aforementioned channel.
