Although this review and little overview speaks about – and indeed praises – the Irish Fiklm Festival, which takes part in bioth Bangkok and Chiang Mai, podcast host Jason Verney also speaks about things in his life journey which have crossed paths with Irish culture and the country of Ireland itself.
Subjects touched on in this episode include the area of Kilburn in London where our host once lived, Irish films admired, the great musicians and famous bands of Ireland & how perhaps Jason’s first ever flight in his life took him to that Irish land and subsequently started a life of flights to countries further afield… including Korea, Thailand and other parts of Asia, which are now Jason Verney’s areas of expertise, as a filmmaker, podcaster, activist and more.

The main part of the episode was recorded whilst in a recording space in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This episode, number 97 was recorded on 10th November 2025, just hours after the 3-day Irish Film Festival ended.
