February 2024 – Article by Jason Verney
So…
Mr MiniMiniMovie (aka Jason Verney aka host of the Not So Korean Podcast aka filmmaker at Native Nomad Pictures aka co-founder of the London Asian Film Society;) is in Asia these days and in particular in Thailand most recently, but that doesn’t stop this Englishman going to see films and indeed one set in Japan, by a German film director.
In fact, I’ve caught a handful of films here in Thailand recently, but it was this one I was compelled to write a little about but mostly RECORD an episode of my all-kinds-of-stuff podcast series, called “F. L. I. C. K. S. (Film, Life, Interview, Camera, Korea & Sounds)”.
Therefore, rather than Mr MMM waffle on even more, in written form at least, let’s simply drop that latest episode here for you to listen to [oh… and of course, it’s available on all good audio platforms out there too!]

Something I should probably clarify is the situation between MUBI (a company and platform I’ve always ‘championed’: Many MUBI related articles here! ) and The Match Factory, because towards the end of the “F. L. I. C. K. S.” podcast episode I note the logo similarity and do wonder if they are connected. Here’s one article which helps, better than yours truly, to clarify the matter!
