In this article [and episode] – the third in a series of Asian film reviews focusing on recent Thai films – we take a look at the film, “Pha Dam Kham Ai: A Cinderella Story” (ผาดำคำไอ่ ซินเดอเรลล่าสตอรี่), a special re-telling of the classic Cinderalla tale, with a North-East Thailand take.

Our very own Jason Verney reviews this funny, colourful fairytale whilst also commenting on the region of Thailand where it’s based, stating a couple of interesting facts whilst giving his unique review of this Thai regional movie, surely one which would delight many Thais, Laotians & residents of the Isaan (or Isan / อีสาน) province.

Overall, a ‘Righteous Review’ of a Romantic & Rather Racy Film!

The episode was recorded on 11th August 2024 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
