Well, this giant Asia trip has taken me/MiniMiniMovie in all kinds of directions – both literally (and therefore on foot & other many other modes of transportation) and creatively.
This Korean, Thailand and Laos TEN-MONTH but whirlwind journey has seen Mr MiniMiniMovie aka Jason Verney trying to work, whilst disappearing into ‘holiday mode’ and also opening doors relating to film projects & working on a couple of different podcasts!
It’s the latter podcasts which MMM needs to now bring to your attention.
You see, as well as the return of the NoSoKoPo (Not So Korean Podcast) – yes, it’s just begun its second series – a small collective of filmmakers, including myself formed a filmmaking newsletter which includes the MBF (Micro-Budget Filmmakers) Podcast!
So far, there are 3 episodes available ‘all over the web’ or at least wherever you get your sounds/music/audio/podcasts – but in addition to these audio episodes there is a video version on YouTube.
I must give a H-U-G-E shout-out & a virtual HUG [see what I did there?] to Thida Nathalie and her company, Plasm Productions for not only collaborating with me on several occasions (in the UK and even in Thailand!), but also for being the ‘driver’ of this MBF podcast and its associated materials.
This is without mentioning all that Thida does for charity and good causes. It’s ironic too that we first met in the Kingston and ‘Korea-Town’ area (where mine & Tim’s “Not So Korean Podcast” started – and where my mid-length film “Reparation” was shot) and even worked together at last year’s inaugural Kingston International Film Festival!
